Primary Purpose of Role
The transportation and delivery of products to customers using a LGV C & E commercial motor vehicle whilst meeting the company, customer and legislative requirements.
Key Accountabilities
To carry out multi-drop deliveries on a daily basis within timeframes set out by the Company
To collect cages and returns from the Customer to transport back to the depot
To meet all special instructions as detailed on delivery documentation
To ensure all documentations completed and signed as required
To carry out vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks prior to the operation of any vehicle and report any defects
immediately
To provide a professional and efficient service to the Customer.
To ensure safe efficient driving standards are maintained at all times.
To meet expectation and standards in relation to driver hours EU legislation
To deliver to the customer on time
To maintain efficiency to meet scheduled times and fuel efficiency
Qualifications
Desirable
Educated to high school (secondary) standard
Educated to university degree level or equivalent professional
Skills/Experiences
Essential
LGV Class 1 License
Previous experience of driving commercial vehicles
Understanding of all requirements under the road safety legislation for drivers hours and tachograph rules
Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
Ability to read, understand and follow directions / instructions
Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math calculations
Ability to move product which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting, in line with Health and Safety
Ability and Flexibility to work Shifts
The successful candidate will be expected to work any 5 days from 7, including weekends

Knowledge of geographical area
